Financial Aid at utmun 2026

At UTMUN 2026, we are deeply committed to foster an accessible and inclusive conference environment for all participants. In alignment with our principles of equity, inclusion, and accessibility, we are proud to offer financial aid to delegates who may require assistance. This aid comes in the form of need-based partial or full reductions in registration fees.

We wish to ensure that financial constraints do not impede any delegate’s ability to fully engage in and participate in our conference. Therefore, we encourage any delegate who may need financial assistance to apply. Please carefully read and follow the instructions provided below to complete and submit your application.

The deadline for all Financial Aid applications is December 23rd, 2025 @ 11:59 PM.

Application Process

INDEPENDENT DELEGATES OR GROUP DELEGATES PAYING INDIVIDUALLY

  1. Fill out the Financial Aid Application Form

  2. Receive a response from the Equity Team notifying you of how much financial aid you’ve been allocated. The UTMUN 2026 Equity Team will review your application and respond within 5-10 business days regarding the status of your request. If you are allocated financial aid, the Equity Team will provide you with a personalized, one time use Financial Aid Code

  3. Register using the Delegate Registration Form with the Financial Aid Code

  4. If granted a discount on the ticket price, pay the remaining amount to process the application (and any forms submitted before or without the corresponding payment will not be processed)

GROUP DELEGATES PAYING BY CHEQUE/CREDIT

  1. Fill out the Financial Aid Application Form

  2. Receive a response from the Equity Team notifying you of how much financial aid you’ve been allocated.

  3. Your Financial Aid amount will be reflected on your school’s invoice provided to the Head Delegate/Faculty Advisor.

  4. You may proceed to register using the Delegate Registration Form.

FINANCIAL AID PER CATEGORY 

  1. INDEPENDENT DELEGATES: Our Equity Team will provide you with a unique, single use code that you can enter as you complete the pay section of the Delegate Registration Form and receive your reduced registration fee.

  2. GROUP DELEGATES, PAYING INDIVIDUALLY: Our Equity Team will provide you with a unique, single use code that you can enter as you complete the pay section of the Delegate Registration Form and receive your reduced registration fee. .

  3. GROUP DELEGATES, PAYING BY CHEQUE/CREDIT: your FA/HD will receive an invoice from the Under-Secretary-General of Finance with the adjusted amount that reflects the amount of financial aid you have received. 

FINANCIAL AID POLICY

  1. Financial aid is available for delegates based on specific criteria set by the UTMUN 2026 Equity Team. Applications for financial aid must be submitted by the stated deadline on the UTMUN 2026 website.

  2. Each delegate must apply for financial aid on their own. Applications cannot be made for or on the behalf of another delegate.

  3. Delegations cannot apply for financial aid as a group. Each delegate must apply individually.

  4. Delegate financial aid is only applicable to the UTMUN registration fees. Additional costs, like food or hotel accommodations, are not eligible for UTMUN Financial Aid.

  5. Completing the financial aid form may delay your registration as the Equity Team requires time to process and consider your application.

  6. If you are planning to apply for financial aid, you must do so before completing the Delegate Registration Form. As stated on the Delegate Registration Form, completion of registration means you’ve either heard back from the Equity Team regarding your financial aid status OR you do not wish to apply for financial aid entirely. Any delegate that fills out the Delegate Registration Form and then applies for the Financial Aid Form will not have their Financial Aid application considered.

  7. The deadline for all Financial Aid applications is December 23rd, 2025 at 11:59 PM. The form for Financial Aid must be submitted before this deadline to be considered for financial aid.
