Before Conference

  • Assist Directors in writing and planning background guides.
  • Ensure an inviting, enjoyable, involved, and equitable experience for all staff within the committee.
  • Establish strong relationships with delegates and stay well-versed in committee content and equity concerns, helping answer any questions from delegates and staff.
  • Liaise with the Committee Director to meet deadlines for content.
  • Attend training and equity sessions.

During Conference

  • Be present the entirety of the conference to lead your team to success. This requires constant involvement with committee developments.
  • Oversee the committee staff in carrying out their responsibilities in the front room of committee sessions.
  • Ensure moderators are properly supported in delivering ROP.
  • Support the Director and other staff members with ad hoc duties.
  • Stay vigilant for equity concerns. You represent UTMUN during the conference, so all staff are expected to remain courteous and helpful.

  • Ensure backroom mechanics are feasible and well prepared.

  • Present crisis arcs to delegates in the front room when appropriate.
