One of Canada’s most prestigious high school Model United Nations conferences returns to the University of Toronto’s St. George campus for four days of diplomacy, debate, and negotiation, now in its twentieth year.
About the Conference
What is UTMUN?
A premier academic experience that immerses delegates of every background and experience level in the art of diplomacy and international affairs.
Each February, delegates take on the foreign policy of a UN member state within a committee or national body, debating, negotiating, and drafting resolutions to the world’s most pressing crises. Delegates arrive from across Canada and around the world, whether attending their tenth conference or their very first.
UTMUN is staffed exclusively by students of the University of Toronto, Canada’s most prestigious post-secondary institution. Our committees span traditional UN agencies, regional bodies, corporate boardrooms, and historical crises, so there is a room for every interest.

Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Partners,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the twentieth annual University of Toronto Model United Nations, taking place from Thursday, February 11 to Sunday, February 14, 2027, at the historic University of Toronto, St. George Campus in the heart of downtown Toronto.
At its heart, UTMUN has always been about our delegates. For twenty years, students from across Canada and around the world have walked into our committee rooms as strangers and left as diplomats, debaters, and friends. We think of this conference as a door: a way into new ideas, new people, and a version of yourself you may not have met yet. Our greatest hope is simply that you walk through it.
Model UN asks a lot of you. There is pressure in a crowded speakers' list, in a crisis that will not wait, in making your case when the room is not yet on your side. But that pressure is exactly where the growth lives, and where the fun is. We hope you lean into it, take the risk, raise your placard, and genuinely enjoy every session. The delegates who do are the ones who leave changed.
This milestone year, we are prouder than ever of what makes UTMUN special. The calibre of our staff, the depth of our academic programming, and the passion of our delegates continue to distinguish UTMUN as one of North America's largest and most reputable Model UN conferences. From our thirty-four unique committees to our distinguished speakers, corporate partners, and carefully crafted background guides, every part of the conference has been designed to open doors for the students who walk through them.
As we celebrate twenty years, we are also looking ahead, building on two decades of tradition while reimagining what Model UN can be.
