How it works

Four branches,
one conference

Every committee at UTMUN belongs to one of four branches. Each has its own rules of procedure, its own pace, and its own idea of what a good weekend of debate looks like.

Some are sprawling assemblies where a hundred delegates negotiate a single resolution. Others are twenty people in a room where the situation changes every twenty minutes.

Choose the branch that fits your delegates, then explore what is inside.

Finding the right room

Experience
levels

Every committee carries a recommended experience level. These are guides rather than gates, but they help delegates land somewhere they will genuinely thrive.

Beginner

New to Model UN

Larger rooms, steadier pace, and dais teams who expect first conferences. The right place to learn the rules without being buried by them.

We recommend starting with the General Assemblies.

Intermediate

A few conferences in

Delegates comfortable with procedure who are ready for tighter debate, sharper topics, and rooms where preparation shows.

Look at ECOSOC & Regional Bodies, or Specialized Agencies.

Advanced

Experienced delegates

Small, demanding committees with dense subject matter. Expect to be outnumbered, outmanoeuvred, and genuinely challenged.

This is where the Crisis Committees live.
