SECRETARY GENERAL

Meet our amazing Secretary General of UTMUN 2024, Soban! Soban is a fourth-year student at the University of Toronto, studying Criminology and Political Science. Soban has been a part of UTMUN since his first year, and is honoured to return in his final year as Secretary-General. With a special interest in the intersection between international law and politics, Soban admires how Model UN ties together several legal and socio-political issues and pushes delegates to consider the complexities of the international system when solving problems. He has been an avid MUN student since high school, and has competed in various conferences across North America. As Secretary-General, Soban is incredibly excited to lead his talented team to deliver a memorable conference! Moreover, he looks forward to seeing delegates adhere to their unique foreign policies and engage in challenging yet thoughtful debate about contemporary issues. In his non-Model UN time, Soban enjoys watching nature documentaries, Gordon Ramsay, and spending time with his friends.
