The Position

What a Director does

Directors are the heart of every committee, equal parts researcher, writer, mentor, and host. You'll build a team, craft the academic content, and run the room across all four days.

Before 5 hrs / week

  • Research, write, and plan your committee's background guide and supporting materials, delegating across your team of VDs, Crisis Managers, Analysts, Moderators, and Logistics Officers.
  • Liaise with your Branch Director to meet content deadlines. Steady communication is everything.
  • Attend rules of procedure and equity training.
  • Keep the committee inbox warm, answering delegate questions as they come.

During 21 hrs total

  • Lead your team across the conference, staying closely involved in committee developments.
  • Act as the expert on your committee's content and equity, building genuine relationships with delegates.
  • Oversee staff in session and support the backroom where your branch calls for it.
  • Offer delegate feedback, then select and present the committee's awards.

Who we're looking for
Strong team leaders who write compelling, comprehensive guides and are committed to equity. MUN experience and a solid grasp of rules of procedure expected; genuine interest in your topic goes a long way.
